There's no easy solution to replicating all of that, and as a result a lot needs to be analyzed about the games to replicate them properly. This isn't even mentioning the amount of Xs for MUGEN that can't do any of the traditional stuff he's known for. They'd include the air slash but it wouldn't flow like normal thanks to sprite misalignment, it'd also be often too slow losing the snappy appearance at the same time, and even then you wouldn't be able to land mid-attack and 'complete' the animation, and if you could then that animation would be misaligned and not transition properly. They'd have them aligned by his legs, which results in some weird movement that doesn't at all match the games. One version of Zero would have the saber slash animations misaligned, giving the impression that the animations were a lot more stiff. I can't name how many conversions of Zero seem like they have the gameplay down at first, but then end up missing important details that made the original game so smooth playing. ![]() ![]() ![]() I did conversions of X and Zero using their PS1 graphics to the MUGEN, and there's a lot about their gameplay that fans simply don't translate more often than not. I figure the result of fan games not often using the 7 and 8 art style is that there's really not enough resources to go around for full games, and what there is tends to be complex, to put it lightly.
